Ellie Goulding’s intimate take on "Close To Me" finds new warmth in its acoustic reimagining, a standout moment from the expansive EG.0. The track, nestled as the ninth piece on the album, blends Goulding’s signature vocal depth with a stripped-down arrangement, crafted by producer Calum Landau. His work here strips away the original’s polished layers, revealing a raw, reflective essence that lingers with quiet power.

This version keeps the song’s emotional core intact, letting Goulding’s voice take center stage over delicate instrumentation. The result is a version that feels both nostalgic and fresh, proving how a single shift in production can transform a beloved track. Fans of Goulding’s dynamic range will appreciate the contrast, as the acoustic treatment highlights her ability to convey vulnerability with effortless grace.
